FiinRatings is honored to announce the participation of high-level speakers — representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the State Securities Commission of Vietnam — at the “Vietnam Sustainable Finance Webinar 2025: Meeting International and Vietnam’s Green Standards”. 

The two guest speakers will be joining a panel discussion: “Green Bonds and Sustainable Debt Instruments in Vietnam: Progress and Potential”, focusing on key issues in the development of Vietnam’s sustainable finance market — particularly green bonds and sustainable debt instruments. 

🔹 Mr. Vu Chi Dung is the Head of Legal - External Affairs Department, State Securities Commission of Vietnam. With many years of experience working in the securities sector and international cooperation with development partners, he has played a key role in advancing the development of the green capital market in Vietnam. 

🔹 Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Tho currently holds the position of Deputy Director of the Institute for Strategy and Policy on Agriculture and Environment, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment. He is a recognized authority in policy research, with deep expertise built through years in the field. 

Currently, Mr. Vu Chi Dung and Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyen Dinh Tho are key coordinators, working in collaboration with experts from several relevant ministries and agencies—including the Ministry of Finance and the State Bank of Vietnam—in advising and drafting critical policies on the circular economy and sustainable finance, including Vietnam Taxonomy. 

Amid the global shift toward a green economy, understanding international evaluation principles, policy directions, and how to effectively apply them in the local context will be a key advantage for issuers, investors, and financial institutions.
