FiinRatings officially launches “Sustainable Finance” webpage

Amid these developments, FiinRatings – A Strategic Partner of S&P Global – officially launched its "Sustainable Finance" webpage on its website, offering in-depth insights and FiinRatings’ external review and sustainability consulting services to support businesses, investors, and market players on their green transition journey.

Amid these developments, FiinRatings – A Strategic Partner of S&P Global – officially launched its "Sustainable Finance" webpage on its website, offering in-depth insights and FiinRatings’ external review and sustainability consulting services to support businesses, investors, and market players on their green transition journey. 

As a pioneer in the field of green finance, FiinRatings is the only domestic organization in Vietnam authorized by the Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI) to provide verification services for labelled bonds in alignment with international standards. FiinRatings is committed to supporting Vietnamese enterprises to diversify and optimize capital strategies for environmentally beneficial projects through the following services: 

• Second Party Opinions (SPO): On the Green, Social, Sustainability, and Sustainability-Linked Bond frameworks, ensuring compliance with international principles issued by reputable organizations such as the International Capital Market Association (ICMA). 

• Verification of Financial Frameworks for Debt Instruments: Independent verification of financial frameworks for debt instruments in line with the Climate Bonds Standard issued by the Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI). 

• Sustainability Assurance Services: Evaluation of compliance with investment policies, processes, or transaction documents based on sustainable finance principles and guidelines published by third parties designated by the client. 

• Sustainability Consulting: Advisory services to support businesses in developing sustainable financial strategies, transition finance plans, and measures to mitigate negative environmental impacts. 

In 2024, FiinRatings conducted independent pre-issuance assessments for the green bond of Hoa Binh – Xuan Mai Clean Water Limited Liability Company (VND 875.1 billion) and I.D.I International Development & Investment Corporation (VND 1,000 billion) in accordance with ICMA’s Green Bond Principles. Additionally, FiinRatings also provided post-issuance verification for BIDV’s VND 2,500-billion green bond (issued in October 2023).
