Hear directly from an International Green Investor at the “Vietnam Sustainable Finance Webinar 2025

As Vietnam accelerates its green growth agenda, the country is becoming a prime destination for international capital aligned with sustainability goals. Beyond policy dialogue, real investments have already been deployed into renewable energy, green banking, and sustainable agriculture. One of the most active players in this process is responsAbility Investments AG, a Switzerland-based impact asset manager specializing in climate finance and sustainable development in emerging markets.

At the Vietnam Sustainable Finance 2025 webinar, Mr. Bui Quang Duy, Deputy Head of Climate Finance, will represent responsAbility Investments AG and offer deep, practical insights from the perspective of an institutional investor directly involved in Vietnam’s green capital transition.

With over 20 years of experience in finance and sustainable development, Mr. Duy oversees a climate-focused investment portfolio across the Asia-Pacific region, supporting financial institutions and climate projects.

In Vietnam, responsAbility Investments AG has executed several prominent transactions:

  • Nam A Bank: Through the Global Climate Partnership Fund (GCPF), managed by responsAbility, over USD 40 million has been disbursed across two deals (2018 and 2025) to expand green credit and financial inclusion, supporting energy efficiency, renewable energy, and SMEs.

  • CME Solar Investments: responsAbility invested USD 32 million (2021 and 2023) into rooftop solar projects in the commercial and industrial sectors—advancing Vietnam’s renewable energy transition.

  • Camimex Group: A USD 7 million investment supports a Climate Smart Agriculture and Food Systems strategy, financing sustainable organic shrimp farming in Ca Mau, integrating mangrove conservation, carbon reduction, and livelihood enhancement for over 2,100 smallholder farmers through silvo-aquaculture.

These deals reflect the pragmatic approach of international investors: seeking scalable, green business models with transparent impact assessment systems.

At the webinar, Mr. Duy will speak in the panel discussion "Green Bonds and Sustainable Debt Instruments in Vietnam: Current Landscape and Growth Potential." He will share the investor’s perspective—what drives capital allocation decisions, challenges in evaluating sustainable portfolios in Vietnam, and why the timely adoption of the Vietnam Green Taxonomy is critical for unlocking large-scale climate finance.

Mr. Duy’s presence offers a valuable opportunity for issuers, banks, and regulators to better understand the expectations of international financial institutions—not as observers, but as active investors in Vietnam’s green future.
