Leveraging S&P Global Ratings’ global analytical expertise and FiinRatings’ deep local market insights, the two organizations are working collaboratively to advance initiatives that promote the long-term growth of sustainable finance in Vietnam.
Drawing from global perspectives and practical experience in Vietnam, international best practices will be brought directly to the upcoming Vietnam Sustainable Finance Webinar: Meeting International and Vietnam’s Green Standards, scheduled for Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:30 AM (GMT+7).
This event is designed to equip issuers, investors, and market participants with practical guidance as they prepare for the implementation of the Vietnam Taxonomy and the integration of international sustainable finance standards into local practice.
In addition to experts from FiinRatings, the webinar will feature guest speakers from ResponsAbility Investments AG, a representative from the Department of Climate Change under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and two distinguished speakers from S&P Global Ratings, who will deliver presentations and share their insights, including:

Mr. Jabouley’s keynote session will focus on “The Evolution of Sustainable Finance: Global Trends and Vietnam's Positioning”—exploring policy directions, international frameworks, and strategic opportunities amid the global push for a green transition.
🔹 Ms. Vanessa Lai, Sustainable Finance Specialist, S&P Global Ratings
Ms. Lai will join the panel discussion on “Green Bonds and Sustainable Debt Instruments in Vietnam: Progress and Potential” and deliver her technical keynote on “Tools and Methodologies for Sustainable Finance Assessment,” with a focus on Second Party Opinions (SPOs), assessment criteria, and implementation best practices across the region.

In Vietnam, S&P Global Ratings has supported several leading issuers—including Vietcombank and Techcombank—through green bond framework assessments.
